Just as I thought, it picked up right where the previous arc left off, it's really amazing how they transitioned it from a comedic tone to a serious war atmosphere, with very little amount of comedy. The fighting sequences were amazingly choreographed, a great start to a new arc
The absolute highlight of the episode is the heavy emotional buildup followed by that iconic payoff at the end. For the first half, the atmosphere is incredibly bleak. It’s an incredibly intense and high-stakes start to the end of the line. We more than ready to see how them gonna fight back.
A very entertaining first episode of the new season. The Yorozuya team still hasn't returned, and the Liberation Army continues its invasion of Edo. The episode has a balanced pace, is canon within the story, and is very entertaining to watch with its special touch of humor. The animation remains excellent, and the anime's finale begins.
