To begin with, I’m a fan of Getter Robo, and this is the first time a manga-canon Getter Robo story has been animated. Because of that, you pretty much have to read all the Getter manga before watching this. Honestly, it really looks low-budget. The animation isn’t very good, but the CGI is ok. There are also pacing problems, especially in the first part. But you can still see that the staff did their best with the limited resources they had. They really tried to capture Ken Ishikawa’s art style and make the battles look interesting. Because of that, this anime is probably aimed more at Getter Robo fans or niche audiences.
