"Gestalt" is a seven-minute anime film created over the course of a year within a Tokyo dormitory. The film's creator, Ishida, documented their daily artistic process by painting on a wall and photographing the result using the available light from a window. Each day's work contributed a few seconds to the final product. The film's visual narrative is accompanied by the haunting organ music of J.S. Bach. The anime focuses on the intersection of art, time, and light, offering a glimpse into a year-long creative endeavor within a confined space.
