📖 SYNOPSIS
"Gene Diver" centers on Virtual Station, a laboratory dedicated to DNA research and the virtual reconstruction of the ancient world. Yui, a Gene Diver, is tasked with entering this virtual ancient world to collect the DNA of extinct animals. This data is crucial for the lab's research.
However, during a maintenance cycle, Yui attempts to return to reality but is instead transported to a new virtual present. This present is a product of the now-uncontrollable system. In this new environment, a species of intelligent rodents, the puglaistig, has evolved. They perceive humankind as a significant threat and actively work to impede human evolution. The anime explores the clash between humans and the puglaistig within this altered virtual reality.
