I was genuinely surprised by how this started. The world-building is thrown at you pretty fast. So the pacing feels a bit rushed. But the bright and vibrant animation really creates a fascinating contrast with the darker undertones of the setting. It hooked me immediately.
Episode 1 kicks off with a strangely captivating mix of theater and sci fi mystery. Seria really stands out as her passion for the stage pulls you into this post apocalyptic world. Because of the lingering questions about the global disaster, it feels uniquely tense
Watching this for the first time and my first thought was "Tf did I just watch?" This anime is so unbelievably gray that it feels uncanny to sit through even 20 minutes of it. No, I'm not even exaggerating, I genuinely think this anime attacks you psychologically in subtle ways.The saturation is so low it's almost yellow, giving everything this "mysterious yet lifeless" atmosphere. Even modern dark anime usually have richer colors than this. What's going on with this anime? You know what makes it even more unsettling? It somehow feels both "dead" and strangely alive at the same time. It honestly gave me Death Note and Evangelion vibes ngl.
