EPISODE CONTEXT
Coming off Episode 8's confrontation with the recurring trickster Nurarihyon, Episode 9 shifts gears from a familiar adversary to an entirely new supernatural threat, continuing the series' pattern of alternating between returning villains and fresh yokai encounters early in its 100-episode run. This standalone adventure deepens the show's exploration of yokai lore and the spirit world before Episode 10 escalates the stakes further with the powerful entity Raijū.
