Episode Context

Sitting at episode 78 of 100, this falls deep into the series' latter stretch where episodic yokai encounters carry heavier tonal stakes. It follows directly from 'Yuki-Onna! Beautiful Vengeful Demon,' maintaining a thematic thread of confronting wrathful spirits, before the series shifts gears with the more creature-focused 'The Tenacious Mythological Snake! Tsuchinoko!!' next. The back-to-back vengeful spirit episodes suggest a deliberate escalation in supernatural intensity as the series approaches its final act.
