Episode Context

Sitting at episode 64 of 100, this falls squarely in the series' back half where the yōkai encounters tend to carry more weight and darker tones. It follows 'Japanese Youkai Annihilated!? Youkai Cloth!', an episode focused on existential threats to yōkai, and leads into 'Curse of the Dancing Bird! Ubume,' continuing the anthology-style exploration of distinct yōkai legends and their entanglement with the human world.
