Episode Context

Landing at episode 29 of 100, this sits firmly in the early-to-mid stretch of the series, where standalone character episodes flesh out the ensemble beyond Kitarou himself. It follows the more action-oriented 'Dinosaur Kitarō Appears!' with a tonal shift toward comedy, and precedes 'Strategy to Kill Kitarō,' which signals a return to higher-stakes conflict targeting the protagonist directly. This episode serves as a breather that deepens Neko-Musume's role before the narrative ramps up tension.
