Episode Context

Sitting at episode 25 of 100, this lands squarely in the first quarter of the series, a stretch where the 2007 Kitarou establishes its episodic rhythm and expands its youkai roster. Coming off the more atmospheric 'Battle in the Dreams! Makura-Gaeshi,' this sports festival installment marks a tonal cooldown before the similarly playful 'Youkai Idol!? Amabie,' suggesting a deliberate cluster of lighter, character-focused episodes that deepen the world's comedic side before heavier arcs set in.
