Considering we're being introduced from a new perspective, the pacing of this episode is horrendous. There was little to no conflict, and as a the first episode to set the tone of the series, it failed to hook me in or be curious of the conflict and new lore that the setting established.
The sequel immediately hooked me with its vibrant visuals and unique soundtrack while introducing Tsubasa, whose emotional reactions sharply contrast Hajime's calm personality. The episode also hints that public opinion and emotional influence will become central themes, making the conflict feel much broader than simple superhero battles.
