Episode Context

Arriving at episode 16 of 24, 'Scandal' sits squarely in the series' most consequential stretch, the moment the Count's long-laid plans begin publicly detonating. It follows Haydée's explosive testimony before the National Assembly, which directly dismantles the Morcerf family's reputation, and now forces Albert and Mercédès to reckon with a legacy they cannot defend. This episode bridges the political exposure of General Morcerf with the deeply personal fallout to come, nudging the series toward its final and most emotionally devastating act.
