Coming off the high-stakes climax of 'Operation: Tokyo Submersion' in Episode 6, this episode deliberately downshifts to reset the battlefield, from physical to personal. It marks the entry point of the 'Operation: Tokyo CO2 Outbreak' mini-arc, reframing Isobe and Hopeman's rivalry through an uncomfortable new lens that will likely complicate their dynamic going forward. The personal entanglement introduced here sets up a season-long tension that promises to bleed into future confrontations.
