This was a "floater" episode. In the sense that it just builds on previous conflicts and has little context of its own. The developments made here were little if at all: just characters clarifying motivations that the audience should already know.

I really like Setsuko's character! I initially felt that both her and Takashi were wasted as flat characters that contributed little to the story, but her voicing her opinions openly in place of Kenji felt like a sigh of relief. Though I wish his internal conflict was developed.
