Episode Context

Sitting at episode 52 of 113, this installment lands at the series' midpoint and closes out the two-part Artemis arc that began in the preceding episode. It resolves Artemis's personal story before the narrative shifts forward into 'Tetsuro on the Planet of Mirrors,' signaling a tonal transition back toward new adventure. These standalone-yet-thematic arcs are foundational to how Galaxy Express 999 builds its larger meditation on humanity, mortality, and desire.
