Episode Context

Arriving at episode 21 of 113, this stop follows an encounter centered on professional dedication and craft, continuing the anthology-style rhythm that defines the early season. 'The Tombstone of Dead Leaves' deepens the series' exploration of alien societies and self-discovery without advancing a hard plot arc, but it lays atmospheric groundwork that feeds into the next episode's introduction of new characters and environments aboard the 999's continuing route.
