Galaxy Express 999: Beyond the Diamond Ring

📖 SYNOPSIS

On July 22, 2009, during a total solar eclipse in Kagoshima, the Galaxy Express 999 made a brief stop. Tetsuro gave a pass for the train to Kakeru, a boy with dreams of becoming an astronaut, telling him his future was in his own hands. The story then jumps forward to 2035, twenty-six years after the previous eclipse. Another total solar eclipse is expected to occur in Japan. The anime explores the question of what became of Kakeru and whether he was able to use the pass and achieve his dreams of space exploration. The story focuses on themes of ambition, the passage of time, and the choices that shape one's destiny.
