I really like this episode. My heart goes out for Mikan upon discovering that Narumi sensei has been keeping the letters she has written for her grandpa. But can't really blame Narumi sensei since his hands are tied due to the academy's rules.

Episode Context

Arriving roughly a third of the way through the 26-episode run, Episode 8 marks a deliberate emotional downshift after the lighthearted dodgeball competition of Episode 7, grounding Mikan's academy life in the personal cost of her enrollment.
