Synopsis
Studying is something Kagetora can't be bothered with, which lands him in a strict boarding school as punishment. Not exactly where he'd choose to be — but then he meets three girls there, each with her own personality, and suddenly he's very motivated. Just not about academics. The rest of the two-episode OVA follows his increasingly convoluted scheme to get closer to them within the rigid structure of school life, which creates a running tension between the buttoned-up environment and exactly what Kagetora is trying to do behind everyone's backs. It's based on a visual novel from Studio Eromatick, and the adaptation leans into the source material's character-focused approach rather than just rushing through scenes. The character designs are distinct enough that each girl feels like an actual presence rather than an interchangeable placeholder, which matters more than you'd expect in a short-form release like this. If you've watched something like Discipline: The Record of a Crusade and liked the boarding school setup with actual character interaction woven in, this hits a similar note. Fans of Bible Black or La Blue Girl who want something a bit lighter in tone will also find it comfortable territory. At two episodes it doesn't overstay its welcome. It sets up Kagetora's situation, introduces the girls, and lets things unfold without much padding. Short, straightforward, and delivers on what it's advertising.
