This one hits deeper… not just action but also Sousuke’s past coming into play. The situation feels desperate and the strategy moments are really engaging. You can feel the pressure building with every move 😳

A slow-paced episode that reminisces about the characters’ pasts. It was deep and quite emotional hearing the mercenaries’ stories. I can’t believe Sousuke started as a guerrilla at such a young age.

Episode Context

Sitting at episode 16 of 24, this is the second part of a three-part arc that pulls Sousuke away from his school life and back into the battlefield, marking a tonal shift in the season's back half. Part 1 established the mission and delivered early setbacks, and this installment deepens the personal stakes by connecting Sousuke's past to the present conflict. It directly sets the table for Part 3's climactic confrontations, making it essential connective tissue for the arc's payoff.
