Episode Context

As the series premiere of Fumoffu, this episode exists to reset expectations from the original Full Metal Panic, there are no Arm Slaves or Amalgam threats here, just Sousuke's military brain versus civilian society. It establishes the comedic formula and character dynamics, particularly the Sousuke-Kaname pairing, that the remaining eleven episodes will riff on with escalating absurdity. Think of it as the comedic thesis statement for the entire season.
