Episode 24 of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End is a calm but tense setup episode that leans heavily into psychological pressure over action. The dungeon’s “Perfect Replicas” concept adds a clever twist, forcing characters to face versions of themselves that test both skill and self-awareness. While the pacing is deliberately slow and the story jumps between groups without major resolution, it effectively builds anticipation. The episode’s strength lies in its atmosphere and quiet tension, making it a solid prelude to more intense developments.

The episode is a psychological chess match. It highlights the tension of facing perfect counters, forcing the magicians to use logic and strategy instead of brute force. Excellent animation that elevates a good narrative. 9.5/10.

Despite being trapped in a sorta stalemate, the pacing of events are nicely balanced. The strategy meeting with Denken's group is looking to bear fruit too. Can't wait to see how this plays out

The fight sections are so captivating to watch. Ubel and Land's scene was heavy both in action and narrative substance. Fern's suggestion at the end was unexpected and would surprisingly pique anyone's attention.

There's something really special about how the writers made this narrative. You don't see this kind of event structure in other top anime like Naruto or Fairy Tail. The strategizing dialogue doesn't feel draggy, nor does the light comedic talks feel cringe or exaggerated.

Frieren had her fun in exploring the dungeon and now to clear it. The biggest obstacle in clearing the dungeon is definitely the mimic of Frieren. I'm curious what Fern suggested as a counter for Frieren.
P.S. Sein would be very jealous by the sight of Methode hugging Frieren

Übel-Land's SHIP is sailing strong. Frieren clone so OP it turned the exam into a Raid Boss encounter. Love that it takes a group of OP mages to brainstorm just to stand a chance. Madhouse is cooking with the high-stakes atmosphere.

This episode focuses on all of the examinees and their strategies as they carefully plan on how to overcome the challenges in the second exam. It delivers tensed fight scenes, meaningful dialogues, and camaraderie between the examinees.

Why do I feel like that four-eyes is only a clone and the original is not even there. Well, at least the exam is soon to be finished because they are now constructing a plan on how to defeat the final boss, lol. Good luck to the team.

Whats better than watching mages fight? Watching mages fight versions of themselves that has the same skills and knowledge.

I wasn’t expecting this one to get so personal. It’s like the show paused big events to zoom in on feelings, and I was here for it. The whole vibe is quiet, but it sneaks up on you emotionally.

Ubel is totally in god-mode what an amazing fight scene and sweet moments. specially frieren and Fern jealous moments very funny I am sure next episode is pure hype.

It was intense as the group have met their match. The sound of spells clashing in the dark halls were superb. The moment they saw their obstacle changed everything. The animation of the spells looked powerful against the shadows. They felt like a huge wall for the group to climb.

A thought inducing episode that leaves excitement on which step will the characters take to overcome the challenge.

The plot carefully explores each exam participant’s growth within the dungeon challenge. The action sequences are impressive, and each character plays a meaningful role. Light comedy adds balance without disrupting the tension.

Episode 24 focuses on strategy and careful decision-making, allowing the characters’ growth to shine through without relying on over-the-top action. This episode stand out in how it balances excitement with subtle character development.
