This episode is more on the emotional side. The supporting tone in this episode is paired with some good animation, which led to the path to some much needed character development.

It is an excellent episode because it understands that tension does not always have to stem from action. The controlled pacing of the scenes, expressive character animation, darker atmosphere, and careful placement of comedy give the episode a more mature quality.

A lot of things happened in this episode. Mainly, Nakiri's past. That kind of teaching is not good for a kid. I wonder why Azami is like that. Because there must be a reason why he's doing that, but I didn't say that it is the right thing to do. We also get to see why Nakiri behaves like that. Poor Nakiri. I enjoyed seeing the Polar Star Dormitory being lively.
