This is a tensed showdown. The pacing is quick and kept things tensed till the end. The high-stakes tone in this episode is paired with some solid animation, which led to some epic character development.

The episode was focused, yet the cooking competition moved along quickly. There were parts that could have benefited from more time to better explain the preparation and flavors of the venison.

The shokugeki between Tsukasa and Yukihira is so good. But this ending is short and a bit lacking for a season. The ending is nice, but it was lacking for a season's ending. The shokugeki continues, and the never-ending Polar Star Dormitory energy is still on fire. I'm just a bit unsatisfied with the whole last episode. But the ending scene is great. Creating a cliffhanger. The backstory and revelations are also nice.

Episode Context

As the final episode of San no Sara's first cour, this caps off the escalating power struggles and internal conflicts at Tootsuki Academy that defined the season's back half. The confrontations built across the preceding episodes reach a critical flashpoint here, but resolution is deliberately withheld, this episode serves as the bridge into the 'Advancement Exam' arc and the second cour (Shin no Sara), setting the stage for even broader challenges ahead.
