Episode Context

Coming off Kenshiro's confrontation with the tyrant Bugal in Episode 83, this episode marks a critical pivot point as the series introduces the Nanto Five Chariot Stars, beginning with Hyui of the Wind, a storyline that will define much of the remaining stretch toward Episode 109. It broadens the scope from individual conflicts to organized resistance against Ken-Oh's army, setting the stage for the sacrifices and revelations of subsequent Chariot Star episodes.
