Episode Context

Coming directly after the devastating losses of Toki and Ryuga, this episode marks the beginning of a retrospective arc that revisits the legacies of the Nanto Seiken warriors, starting with Shin. It serves as both an emotional cooldown and a narrative bridge, providing crucial character depth before subsequent episodes explore other South Star masters in similar fashion. At episode 78 of 109, the series is clearly laying groundwork for its final stretch by ensuring the weight of past conflicts resonates through to the endgame.
