Coming directly after the emotionally charged farewell to Toki, episode 73 pivots the narrative by introducing Ryuga as a significant new force, marking a clear transition point roughly two-thirds through the series. This installment bridges the grief of recent losses with the tensions ahead, establishing a dynamic between Kenshiro and Ryuga that will drive upcoming confrontations. It functions as essential groundwork, layering in new character motivations that reshape the trajectory of the remaining arc.
