Episode Context

Coming off the confrontation with the Fang Clan and the introduction of Mamiya, episode 24 expands the protagonist circle by bringing a Nanto martial artist into the fold, fundamentally changing the group dynamic around Kenshiro. This episode bridges the earlier lone-warrior arcs with a more ensemble-driven narrative, setting up the interplay between Hokuto and Nanto schools that will define much of the series going forward. It's an essential setup episode roughly a quarter into the 109-episode run, signaling that the story's scope is widening significantly.
