Episode Context

Arriving at episode 17 of 109, this installment marks a turning point as the simmering rivalry between Kenshiro and Shin transitions from scattered skirmishes into full-scale declared warfare. Previous episodes established Kenshiro's dominance against lesser gangs and warlords, but Shin's formal mobilization raises the stakes considerably. While tagged as filler, it functions as a critical bridge into the direct confrontations that define the upcoming stretch of episodes.
