With the surprised arrival of Shizuka's father, the tone became serous. The pacing was moving swiftly, and was paired with some good animation, that provided some crucial character development.

After those chaotic episodes, things were finally back on track. Initially it went as usual chaotic relationship with duos untill some 'serious' stuff dropped off in between! But the behavioural changes in Ryo was something I observed as compared to first few episodes - he's becoming calm around Shizuka now..

Oooh, finally back to main story. And I say story because we're finally circling back to the first interaction where things get "serious". It only took a couple episodes for that but I'm all for it. Serious Ryo works really well in this setting for once.

At episode 10 of 13, the series is firmly in its final stretch, and this installment functions as a crucial bridge, consolidating character growth before the consequences of recent decisions begin compounding heading into Episode 11.
