Episode Context

Coming off Ippo's emotionally heavy loss to Date and his subsequent period of reflection, the series pivots to a fight with major implications for Ippo's own future path. Volg vs. Sendo serves as a critical inflection point in the final stretch of the 75-episode season, establishing stakes and outcomes that will directly shape the rivalries and matchups driving the remaining episodes. This is where the show reminds you that Ippo's world doesn't stop moving just because he's on the sidelines.
