Episode Context

Positioned at the season's midpoint, this episode transitions from Ippo's intensive Gazelle Punch training in 'Be the Gazelle' to the emotional groundwork needed before his clash with Volg Zangief. It serves as the calm, character-driven bridge between physical preparation and the actual bout, which begins in the following episode, 'The Red Wolf.' Without this introspective pause, the stakes of the Ippo-Volg match would land as spectacle rather than story, this episode ensures it hits as both.
