Episode Context

As a standalone OVA separate from the main Hajime no Ippo television series, this episode exists outside the traditional season structure. It assumes familiarity with Kimura, Mashiba, and the Kamogawa gym dynamic built across the main series, rewarding longtime fans with a story the TV run didn't have room to fully tell. There is no preceding or following episode, this is a self-contained entry point for the Kimura vs. Mashiba rivalry, designed to stand alone while enriching the broader world of the franchise.
