EPISODE REVIEWS
Last Encore's first episode... is a mess. Honestly, I was lost somewhere in the middle and came out more confused than I did coming in. Why is there sudden gore and death early in the ep? Who knows! The only saving grace is the animation, which is nice to look at, at least.
The pilot episode of this anime season is kinda overwhelming. There's no clear background story. The minor characters are also bland and unlikable, so the Main Character of the series. I've felt like I'm having a hard time watching and understanding what's going on.
Confusing is the only word appropriate to sum this episode up, and not in a good way. The characters talk cryptically, there is no introduction to the world, and the episode assumes you already know everything. Worst of all, the characters are all bland and unlikable. 3/10
