Episode Context

Episode 89 follows directly from the catastrophic detonation of the Face bombs and the apparent loss of magic across the continent, making this a point-of-no-return chapter in the Tartaros arc. It bridges the fallout from 'Soaring Above Ishgar' and the arc's ultimate resolution in 'Tartaros Chapter, Finale - Where the Power of Life Lies,' positioning it as the penultimate escalation before the climax. With only a handful of episodes left before the series concludes, every revelation here carries significant weight for the endgame.
