One of the best coming of age stories I have watched. The visual spectacles are unbelievable, and they still hold up to this day. The music the visuals the story all culminating together to produce one of the best series out there. Eureka 7 is a timeless classic highly recommend.

Episode Context

As the series opener of a 50-episode run, Blue Monday has no precedent to reference, this is ground zero for Renton's world and the relationships that will define the entire series. It plants the seeds for the central dynamic between Renton and Eureka, which will slowly develop into the emotional core of the show. Everything that follows in the season grows directly from what is established here, making this episode essential viewing rather than skippable setup.
