the narrative decision to have koichi cheat severely damages his likability but effectively highlights the flaws of men within the creative industry. the true highlight is sayuri's character study. subverting the expectation of her being a one-dimensional trope proves that the female cast possesses vastly superior characterization compared to the men.

im disappointed in koichi for cheating bruh i was rooting for him the entire time. i really thought sayuri was going to be a basic background character, but seeing her get so much depth this episode was a wonderful surprise! the girls in this show are just written so beautifully compared to the guys.
