This finale completely paid off Chihiro and Renji's story for me. Watching Renji literally search the entire town for Chihiro's diary pages showed how determined he was to never give up on her. And when Chihiro finally admits that she still remembers him because her feelings for him can't simply disappear, I honestly got emotional. The reunion at the train station was beautiful, and ending with all the characters moving forward made this feel like a genuinely satisfying conclusion.
