It was an absolutely beautiful ride, an anime about radically accepting everything that hurt you in the past, making amends with it and, as Yuu put it, aiming forward instead of up. Season 1 was good but I don't expect season 2 to become one of my top 10s out of the blue. "The world is worse than you imagine but also better than you think", and really that's the takeaway from this season. Maybe in another life things might've been different, but this is the one we got.
"Miracles don't exist in this world; the only things that exist are coincidences and inevitabilities and the actions people take", pretty much sums up this anime. For the most part, great anime, with decent pacing throughout, and I'd say definitely something depressing yet oddly heartwarming.
