Starting the series off strong with excellent writing, animation, pacing, and a perfect mix of comedy and emotional bits. The character designs are pretty fascinating, too. I love Shiki's facial expression, which really adds to the humour of the episode.

Didn't expect the first few minutes of the episode to resonate with me like that, but "If you stay here forever, you will never know what's out there" really did hit me like a truck.
