the whole scene with the princess and the secret she is hiding from Kakeru really caught the viewer off guard and made the fantasy stuff way more interesting than expected and seeing the black mist turn people into statues is such a cruel fate for the villagers which makes Lucifon feel like a much bigger threat than your typical evil ruler
