Episode Context

As Episode 1 of 4, 'Return' carries the full weight of series establishment, there is no prior episode to lean on, so it builds the world, the stakes, and the central conflict from the ground up. The introduction of Lucifon, ruler of Reimling, as the looming antagonist gives the short four-episode season its immediate dramatic spine. This episode feeds directly into 'Princess' (Episode 2), where Kakeru's quest moves from call-to-action into active motion and new allies begin to take shape.
