Dragon Knight
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Takeru, a wandering swordsman, makes about the least heroic first impression you'd expect from someone destined to save the world — caught stealing food from a deserted town. But a woman named Luna is convinced he's the chosen hero, and before he can argue otherwise, they're heading toward a demon-occupied castle full of imprisoned damsels. The catch: Takeru is less interested in glory and more interested in his instant camera, which he uses to photograph every woman he rescues before they can cover themselves. Chivalry is very much dead here. This 1991 OVA from Studio Wombat is a single-episode adult fantasy romp adapted from a visual novel. It leans hard into its risqué comedy — the whole joke is that your 'hero' is a shameless opportunist who happens to be decent with a sword. The medieval setting clashing with a modern instant camera is a deliberate absurdity that keeps the tone light and self-aware rather than grim. If you enjoyed the irreverent fantasy humor of something like Legend of Mana: The Teardrop Crystal but want something aimed at an adult audience, this scratches a similar itch. It is not trying to be Fate/Zero — there is no deep lore or moral weight. It is a short, unapologetically crude comedy adventure that knows exactly what it is and does not pretend otherwise. Adjust expectations accordingly.
