Episode Context

Six episodes into the original Dragon Ball quest, the core cast is now assembled and their competing motivations are creating natural friction. The previous episode introduced Yamcha as a desert bandit and rival, and this episode deepens the group dynamics and power plays over the Dragon Balls. It directly sets the stage for the journey to Fire Mountain, which kicks off in the next episode and pushes the adventure into its next major challenge.
