EPISODE REVIEWS

Frieza blowing up the whole planet because he got his butt kicked by a golden haired monkey is such a coward move and it shows how much he actually fears goku now

Episode Context

Coming directly off Goku's legendary Super Saiyan transformation in 'Explosion of Anger,' this episode shifts the Frieza saga into its endgame phase, where the tyrant's inability to compete on raw power forces a dramatic escalation. Sitting at episode 97 of 291, this is deep into the Namek saga's climax, and the confrontation enters territory where victory in battle may not mean survival. The next episode, 'A Final Attack,' continues to ratchet the intensity as the fight barrels toward its conclusion.
