Frieza just completely ruined the vibe by taking out Dende first because it shows how smart he is as a villain and then Vegeta goes on this huge rant about being a super saiyan but he is clearly just lying to himself to feel better and seeing him save Gohan was weirdly nice even if he was being a jerk about it while Piccolo just watches in horror because he knows they are doomed
