Episode Context

Episode 254 places viewers well into the latter half of the Buu Saga, where the threat has evolved far beyond its initial form and Earth's strongest fighters are scrambling for solutions. Previous episodes have been building toward critical confrontations and desperate strategies, with alliances tested and power levels shattered. This episode continues that trajectory, serving as connective tissue between the saga's major turning points and setting the stage for the final stretch of Dragon Ball Z's climactic arc.
