I really felt for Goten because he was keeping up so well and even landed some great hits with that Assault move, but Trunks having a year on him definitely showed in the end. It felt a bit cheap when Trunks went Super Saiyan just to win that exchange since they had a deal, but Trunks using that energy ball to shove him out was such a Vegeta move

The animation during that midair clash was way better than the previous rounds and you could really feel the impact when they were trading those heavy blows back and forth

I actually really liked seeing the boys go at it and I think Trunks winning makes sense because he is older, and has been training with Vegeta. It was hilarious watching Mr. Satan realize how much trouble he is in for the exhibition match because he looks so terrified while everyone else thinks he is being cool
