Goku meeting Goten for the first time made me feel so soft and seeing their hug was definitely the most emotional part of the day

Krillin admitting he waxes his head is such a weird detail to throw in while they are standing around waiting for the tournament to start

Episode Context

Episode 209 sits in the early stretch of the Great Saiyaman and World Tournament saga, a transitional period between the conclusion of the Cell Games and the full eruption of the Majin Buu conflict. The preceding episodes have been establishing Gohan's new life as a high schooler and his comedic superhero alter ego, building out a more lighthearted status quo before the series pivots hard into its final major arc. This episode continues that buildup, keeping the tone playful while steadily moving pieces into position for the upcoming World Martial Arts Tournament and the chaos that follows.
