Episode Context

Sitting roughly halfway through Dragon Ball Z's 291-episode run, episode 148 is deep in the Cell Saga, one of the series' most celebrated arcs. The preceding episodes have established the android threat and the emergence of an even more dangerous bio-engineered enemy, with the Z Fighters scrambling to power up and respond. This episode continues that escalation, bridging the early reveals of Cell's nature with the full-scale confrontations that define the arc's climax.
